Diet, lifestyle and exercise therapy in accordance with TCM principles will be incorporated into your course of treatments. Advice will be tailored to your individual needs to help you use self-management strategies, both during your sessions and beyond your course of treatments, to maximize health benefits.
A healthy lifestyle is the result of the collection of behaviours and activities that define your own unique profile. The different aspects of lifestyle can be categorised as physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. All of these core factors need to be in balance to achieve good health.
Healing depends on incorporating new habits and life style patterns to allow health to emerge naturally. During your sessions, small steps will be put in place to integrate healthy principles into your daily life that will eventually become second nature.
The aim of TCM dietary therapy is to help you understand the importance of choosing appropriate foods to complement your personal health profile, while at the same time giving you freedom to enjoy your food. Dietary requirements are unique to each individual. As Lucretius said, “what is food for one man may be bitter poison to others.”
